We are excited to host a marriage and parenting workshop beginning Friday evening January 14th at 6:30 pm with a focus on marriage, continuing Saturday morning from 8:30 am until noon (with lunch to follow) focusing on parenting and concluding Sunday as Mark (see his bio below) will bring the morning message followed by a potluck, Q&A, and the opportunity for individual meetings with Mark after that.
Everyone is invited to join and learn together from God’s Word, and Mark’s wisdom and experience! We would love to know how many to plan for so please respond to this post or call the church with your RSVP and questions. 641-792-4650.

Marks Bio:
Mark Forstrom, a theology graduate of Moody Bible Institute served as a youth pastor for 31 years. In 2020 he earned his master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Mark now works as a therapist at Keys to Living Christian Counseling Center in Cedar Rapids. Over his years of ministry, Mark has developed a passion for healthy families and marriages. He has conducted family workshops in Cedar Rapids, Togo, Africa, Nicaragua, and now Newton!
He and his wife Cindy have been happily married for 35 years. They have two grown daughters, who both serve the Lord overseas. Brenda, the oldest, is married and lives in Africa with her husband Tim and newborn son, Jimmy. Lexi, the youngest, teaches music at an international school in China.
